A woman’s wedding day is said to be one of the biggest days in her life. Gearing up to be the centre of attention can leave women seeking out new and fabulous ways to look their best. Here is a list of five beauty tips on what not to do before the wedding day, in order to keep you looking and feeling your best on the big day!
Tip #1 Tanning beds or Spray tans ? Resist the urge to embrace your inner sun goddess.? Hitting the tanning beds or reaching for the spray tanners so close to your wedding day, could leave you with an undesirable tone that you didn?t account for.? Spray tans (despite what some advertise) can actually rub off on your clothing or worse yet, your wedding dress.? Leave it to a skilled makeup artist to give you a bronzed and glowing look.
Tip #2 ? ? Chemical peels and Skin Rejuvenation ? For anyone who saw the Sex and the City episode that features Samantha getting a chemical peel, I need not say more.? Chemical peels, microdermabrasion and skin rejuvenating treatments can have great results.? They also can leave some shedding dead skin for weeks or painful redness that feels like sunburnt. ?These clinical treatments all have their place and time, however the weeks leading up to your wedding is not that time.
Tip #3 ? ? ?The newest and latest skin care ? Stick to what you know.? Skincare contains many ingredients, even if it?s a natural or botanical based line.? Our skin seemingly has it?s own personality and ?clashes? with some ingredients.? Switching skincare can leave you with skin irritation, excess oil/dryness or even an allergic reaction.
Tip #4 ? ? DIY hair colour ? Weddings are expensive!? It?s easy to want to cut corners in some areas, so that you can allow for more in others.? If you normally go to the salon to colour your hair, please resist the urge to save money by doing it yourself.? What seemed like a money saving effort could leave you with a larger bill at the salon in order to fix a ?colour gone wrong.?
Tip #5 ? ? Grooming your brows?? Eyebrows are important and frame the face, yet are often neglected or forgotten about.? For some reason, eyebrows seem to jump from a state of perfectly groomed to unruly, with what feels like no warning.? ?Be sure to tend brows 3-5 days in advance, allowing for any redness and swelling to go down.
Trying new products and procedures can be fun and exciting but are also accompanied by a level of risk.? Keep yourself looking picture perfect by avoiding beauty regime experimentation 4-6 weeks before the big day.
