The new Rose Gold Textured palette has been all the talk in the industry since the release, however it’s gotten some backlash and undesirable feedback. Here’s my take on it all:
The Huda palette is all that everyone wishes it to be, they simply may not realize it; the matte colours are incredible pigmented and the textured shadows are simply to die for. The matte shadows are dry, opposed to a soft, cream like powder. For many, this will instantly be more difficult to use and to blend. The upside to a shadow with a dryer consistency is that there is likely less fallout and they colour payoff is amplified. The textured shadows are beautiful and they’re not trying to be anything other than exactly what they are. HUDA actually recommends to apply these textured shadows with your finger; this is not uncommon for highly textured shadows and metallics. As a makeup artist, it’s common to use your finger tips as a complementary tool to a brush.
The colour range in the palette are truly beautiful, I feel that HUDA did a fantastic job at colour selection.
Overall, I’m thrilled to have this palette and it’s already created some of my favourite looks!
